Rock University is a music school unlike any other. The goal is not to simply play music, but to feel, and above all, personalise it. The teachers, who are passionate, professional musicians, set out to promote every talent as much as possible.
With specially adapted courses, they can respond to the individual needs and wishes of each student, which is also reflected in their results.
Every Friday, we introduce a new musician and their video with a personally covered song through RTL You. This week we present Leticia with her cover of Bob Dylan’s hit song “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”.
1. Could you please present yourself in 2-3 sentences?
My name is Leticia. I am 21 years old and am a cheerful, sociable and open person. I laugh at everything and nothing, and my passion is obviously music, through which I manage to express myself the best and get in touch with my emotions.
2. Who is your biggest inspiration when it comes to music?
My lifelong idol is Miley Cyrus and I would love to be able to pursue a similar career; first finding my fans and being able to keep them through the different stages of my life.
Another great artist I admire a lot is also Amy Whinehouse.
3. What instruments can you play?
Not really. However, I taught myself on how to play the guitar as well as being able to play basic songs on the piano.
4. Why did you chose this specific song?
There is no particular reason for us having chosen this song over another. It’s a quiet song that Jean-Christophe and I both love. We decide which songs we will record quite spontaneously, and this time our choice has been “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”.
