The Pension Insurance Administration says fraudulent SMS messages are being sent in its name, with links to a fake website designed to steal bank details.
Dishonest individuals are trying to lure people to a fake website via SMS.

The National Pension Insurance Administration (CNAP) has issued an urgent warning about fraudulent text messages sent in its name. According to CNAP, the messages ask recipients to click on a link that leads to a counterfeit website designed to obtain their bank details.

The administration urges the public to be vigilant and to use only its official website, cnap.public.lu.

CNAP adds that similar phishing attempts are currently under way in the names of other official institutions, including the Joint Social Security Centre (CCSS), the National Health Fund (CNS) and LuxTrust. These fake websites aim to steal personal data and banking information.
