At 6.40pm on Friday, a pedestrian was hit by a car and injured on Rue Bender in Luxembourg City.

Shortly after midnight, a motorist lost control over his vehicle on Route de Longwy in Merl, which led to him crashing into two stationary vehicles before his own car flipped over and landed on its roof. Emergency services helped free the driver from the wreck and brought him to a hospital. As the motorist was drunk at the time of the crash, he received a fine.

Police in Esch-sur-Alzette found a motorist asleep behind the wheel while stationed at a petrol station. The man tested positive for alcohol, but when officers wanted to revoke his driving license, they found that it was a counterfeit. He received a fine and had his car seized by order of the prosecutor’s office.

Police also revoked licenses for drink driving in Belvaux and Luxembourg City.
