1. Join the Philharmonie' Christmas concert
What: Final concert of the year

When: Friday, 20 December at 7.30pm and Saturday, 21 December at 5pm – info & tickets
Join the Luxembourg Philharmonic and several choirs for a sing-a-long to your favourite Christmas music, including "Feliz Navidad", "Still Nacht", "Jingle Bells" and the beautiful Luxembourgish hymn “An der grousser hell’ger Nuecht”. Get your tickets now for a festive evening, and if you can't make it, you can always watch the performance on Christmas Eve on RTL Télé at 8pm.

2. Go for a Rockhal rave
What: Five international acts
Where: Rockhal, 5 Av. du Rock'n'Roll, 4083 Esch-Belval
When: Saturday, 21 December at 11pm – info & tickets
Celebrate the end of the season at Rockhal with a massive rave production. Airod, Caravel, H! Dude, Louisa Pitz and Messiahs Black are the five acts playing until 5am, and apparently there will be a 360-degree setup making it a super immersive experience at the Club.
3. Listen to four local jazz stars
What: Thrilling live music

When: Saturday, 21 December at 8pm and Sunday, 22 December at 4.30pm – info & tickets
It's become a highlight of the local jazz calendar: A few nights before Christmas, Pascal Schumacher, Greg Lamy, Jeff Herr and Marc Demuth take to the stage at De Gudde Wëllen for a programme of timeless standards, pop favourites and fresh, exhilarating modern groove jazz. The crème de la crème of Luxembourgish jazz - come and see these legends.

4. Watch Echo
What: Beautiful portrayal of Iceland
Where: Cinémathèque, 17 Pl. du Théâtre, 2613 Luxembourg
When: Thursday, 19 December at 8.30pm – info & tickets
Echo, the third feature from director Rúnar Rúnarsson, is a series of single-shot vignettes (56 in total) surrounding Iceland, Christmas and celebrations. It received critical acclaim for its biting, tender portrait of a modern society as everyone prepares for the Christmas holidays. With English subtitles.
5. See Mudam exhibition on women in technology
What: Contemporary museum

When: Runs until 2 February 2025 – info & tickets
Explore the fascinating intersection of art, technology, and feminism at Radical Software: Women, Art & Computing 1960–1991, Mudam's exhibition running until 2 February 2025. Featuring over 100 works by pioneering female artists, this exhibition charts the evolution of digital art from mainframes to the microcomputer era, spotlighting trailblazers who reshaped creativity in a pre-internet world.

6. Enjoy Christmas with a Celtic twist

Time for Christmas with a Celtic twist! The Outside Track, a dynamic group of Irish, Scottish, and Canadian musicians, present The Essence of Irish & Scottish Christmas – a vibrant show blending music, dance, and history. With energetic step dancing, stunning vocals, and fascinating traditions like the druidic origins of mistletoe, this performance brings the festive spirit of the Celtic lands to life here in Ettelbruck.
7. Join festive workshops on Place Guillaume II
