30 Nov - 1 Dec - Red Cross Bazaar - Glacis - MARKET 

Don't miss the chance to buy handicrafts, designer objects, as well as second-hand clothes and treats - all for a good cause at the Red Cross Bazaar on the Glacis in the heart of Luxembourg City. Grab a bite to eat at the food village while your children meet Kleeschen. Starts both days at 10:00.

1 Dec - 1 Jan - Winterlights & Christmas Market - Luxembourg - MARKET

The holiday season has officially arrived! Luxembourg City's Christmas market is in the throws of a month of festive fun and activities across the capital. The Winterlights Festival includes traditional Christmas markets, ice skating, and illuminated decorations. 22 Nov - 22 Dec - Trier Christmas Market - MARKET

Why not head to Trier to one of the prettiest and most traditional Christmas markets in the region and enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a sausage, browse the amazing brush stall, pick up ornaments to hang on this year's tree or find that last-minute present.  Opens at 10:30 on weekdays and Saturday and at 11:00 on Sunday.

Luxembourg's magical Christmas Show is back on the Glacis. Prepare for a fun-filled event with performers from the world-famous Cirque du Soleil and Monte-Carlo Circus Festival. With breathtaking performances, thrilling acts, a family-friendly atmosphere and an animal-free show, you're in for a magical experience. There are still tickets available at time of writing, starting at €40.

30 Nov - 1 Dec -  The Snow Queen -  Vianden - DANCE

For ballet fans, this is a very special performance. The Snow Queen, performed in Vianden Castle by the Luxembourg ballet with special guests, as well as with children from several of Luxembourg’s ballet schools. Tickets are limited and start at €85.

1 Dec -  Jacob Collier - Rockhal - Esch/Belval - MUSIC

The five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier is coming back to Luxembourg and performing at the Rockhal. Tickets are €48.80.

1 Dec -  Rag’n’Bone Man -  Luxexpo -  Luxembourg - MUSIC

Unbelievably there are two concerts on the same night, so if you missed Rag‘n’Bone Man in the summer, head to Luxexpo and watch the singer, known for his gravelly blues vocals performing songs from his new album “What Do You Believe In?”. Tickets are €54.30.

1 Dec - The Ukelele Orchestra  - Philharmonie - MUSIC

Known for their quirky sense of humor, the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain are set to deliver a virtuoso, tongue-in-cheek performance for the whole family. From classical to rock, they play ukeleles of all sizes and characters. Starts at 11:00 and tickets are still available at time of writing, €14 for children and €20 for adults.

3 Dec - Ladies Night: Wicked - Kinepolis - CINEMA

Will this be your Christmas movie? Or are you in the Gladiator 2 camp? Or are you going "Glicked" – the double feature special? 6 - 31 Dec - Classics before Christmas - Cinematheque - CINEMA

Cinematheque are showing all your favourite Christmas classics from ‘The Holiday’, ‘Bad Santa’, ‘Love Actually’ to ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ up to and including the 19 December. Back on 27 December for more Christmassy fare, from ‘The Holdovers’ to the award winning animation “Kensuke’s Kingdom”. Check the website here for screening times.

6 Dec - MusiqCITE - Conservatoire - MUSIC

Amateur music groups will showcase their talent and entertain audiences with music, dance and song. After the concerts, the City will host a reception where guests will be invited to discover an array of international products and foods. Entry is free, although places are limited. Prior reservation is required by contacting the VdL Integration and Special Needs Department at integratioun@vdl.lu. Starts at 19:00. A live broadcast will also be available. 

7 - 8 Dec - Vinokilo - LuxExpo - SHOPPING

Dive into the new shopping experience that is VinoKilo. From clothing from the 50s to the 00s, vintage dresses, streetwear and vintage accessories, you can buy clothes by the kilo or bring back your old clothes. Check out RTL Today's preview of the last event in Luxembourg.

7 - 15 December - Voices International Christmas Concerts - MUSIC

Join the Luxembourg-based choir Voices International at one of their fabulous Christmas concerts across the Grand Duchy. The concert “Voices of Winter” will celebrate music from various genres and languages. Admission is free and there is a collection for charity.

7 - 9 Dec - Link in My Bio - Grand Theatre - OPERA

An opportunity to see Link In My Bio, a contemporary opera in English, aiming to redefine the traditional boundaries of the art form. The ensemble United Instruments of Lucillin accompanies the cast, which includes soprano Marie-Christiane Nishimwe. It takes place in the Studio at the Grand Theatre. Tickets are €20. Starts at 20:00 on both nights.

8 Dec - Sofi Tukker - den Atelier - Luxembourg City – MUSIC

The duo that makes up Sofi Tukker are bringing their music blend of house, Brazilian funk, drum and bass, bossa nova, pop, portuguese poetry and fun to den Atelier. Tickets are €43.

10 Dec - CCL Anniversary Concert - Philharmonie - MUSIC

Performed in Luxembourg for the first time, the Choer de Chambre de Luxembourg is singing Bruckner’s monumental mass in F minor with a full orchestra at the Philharmonie at 20:00.  Tickets start at  €45.

12 Dec - SOS Gala Concert - Philharmonie - MUSIC

This year, the traditional gala concert of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde will bring South Korean conductor Hankyeol Yoon to the Luxembourg Philharmonic to perform with Ukrainian violin soloist Dmytro Udovychenko.

12 & 14 Dec - Home Alone - Kinepolis - CINEMA

It never gets boring to watch Home Alone and here’s a chance to see it again on the big screen or maybe just take those little ones to see it in all its glory for the first time. Tickets and showtimes here.

14 Dec - Ratatouille in Concert - Philharmonie - FILM/MUSIC

The Luxembourg Philharmonic will accompany this showing of Ratatouille, the ingenious Pixar film about Remy, the adorable rat chef LIVE. Starts at 11:00 or 19:30. Last tickets will be available on the day or you can join the waiting list.

14 - 15 Dec - Vegan Christmas Market - Bonnevoie - MARKET

For a more sustainable pre-Christmas trip, why not head to the Vegan Christmas Market in Bonnevoie’s Centre Culturel. Organised by the Vegan Society Luxembourg, the market will include food, children’s activities, gift ideas, a tomobola and a photo booth. 14 - 15 Dec - Oona Doherty - Grand Theatre - DANCE

For her first appearance in Luxembourg, the Northern Irish dancer Oona Doherty is presenting a double bill featuring a solo "Hope Hunt and the Ascension into Lazarus" and "Navy Blue", an ensemble piece and her biggest production to date. Starts at 20:00 both days. Tickets are €20.

15 Dec - A 360° Concert - Ettelbruck - MUSIC

The Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra has two concerts at the CAPE venue on Sunday, offering seasonal concerts without a conductor called Rotondus! At The Art of Music: A 360° concert. Tickets are €31.

15 Dec - Nik Kershaw - Opderschmelz - Dudelange - MUSIC

Nik Kershaw’s concert at Opderschmelz has sold out, but listen to Today Radio to win tickets to see the legendary singer-songwriter of 80s hits such as “The Riddle” and “I Won’t let The Sun Go Down On Me” performing in Luxembourg.

20 Dec - Chreschtconcert - Philharmonie - MUSIC

Join the Luxembourg Philharmonic and several choirs for a sing-a-long to your favourite Christmas music, including “Feliz Navidad” and the beautiful Luxembourgish hymn “An der grousser hell’ger Nuecht”. Tickets start at €26. If you can’t make it to the Philharmonie in Kirchberg, you can always watch it on Christmas Eve on RTL TV at 20:00.

20 Dec - Gospel Concert - Soleuvre - MUSIC

For another type of music to really get you in the festive mood, head out to Soleuvre and hear ‘The Golden Voices of Gospel’ on their “Oh Happy Day Tour 2024”. Hailing from the American gospel scene, they have enchanted audiences globally with their interpretations of songs such as "Go Down Moses" or "Oh Happy Day".

24 Dec - Midnight Mass - Notre Dame Cathedral - CHRISTMAS

A particularly beautiful midnight mass is celebrated every year at Notre Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City. After mass, churchgoers take a moment to enjoy each other’s company with a Glühwäin (mulled wine) or other hot drink, before going home to prepare for Christmas Day.

27 Dec - 5 Jan - The Little Prince - Grand Theatre - DANCE

This year’s end-of-year show is a contemporary adaption of Saint-Exupery’s masterpiece 'The Little Prince'.  Blending choreography, aerial acrobatics and video projections, the production is likely to captivate audiences of all ages. Tickets range from €15-€25.

31 December - NYE Session 2024 - den Atelier - PARTY
