1. Cheer on Waiter's Hill Race

Back for a third round of tray-balancing chaos, the Waiter’s Hill Race is part obstacle course, part performance art, and all about the vibes. Contestants – whether seasoned servers or curious tray-holders – tackle stairs, twists and the odd surprise, all without spilling a drop. No running, just style, balance, and a steady hand, along with music, prizes, and a whole lot of cheering from the sidelines. You can still register here.
2. Enjoy music by the lake

E-Lake Festival returns to the shores of Echternach Lake for another weekend of live music, electronic beats, and laid-back summer energy. With a mix of local favourites and international acts across multiple stages, it’s one of Luxembourg’s biggest free festivals. Pack your sunscreen, bring your dancing shoes, and get ready for three days of music by the water.
3. Attend local indie label night
What: Fresh indie sounds

Local label Two Steps Twice hosts a night of fresh indie sounds, featuring three standout acts from their roster. Sunny Gloom debuts Yann Gengler’s new alt-rock solo project, Ninon brings dreamy textures and a new single, and Cologne’s Easy Easy wrap things up with their latest indie rock tunes. A well-curated evening for fans of shimmering guitars and offbeat pop.

4. Visit Summerdream Festival
What: Music, theatre, and workshops

Summerdream Festival returns for its fourth edition on Saturday in Steinfort, offering an afternoon and evening of music, theatre, and family-friendly activities. From 4–11pm, visitors can explore live performances, creative workshops, street animation, and food trucks. Entry is free, except for the two theatre productions.

5. Watch free open air films in Grevenmacher

Sunset Cinema makes Grevenmacher beach its home for two nights, screening A Star Is Born and Puss In Boots. Screenings are free, just come early.

6. Join Japanese calligraphy workshop
What: Held by Mayuka Abe and Iri Shodo

Step into the world of Japanese tales and traditions through a playful blend of storytelling and calligraphy. In this 90-minute workshop, children aged 6–15 and their parents can discover the beauty of brush and ink while listening to enchanting stories. Language will be English, and no registration is required.

7. Dance under the sun outside the Philharmonie

The Open Air Social is back on Sunday, 10 August at Place de l’Europe (Kirchberg), starting at 5pm – if the weather allows. Expect two dance floors dedicated to 100% Bachata and 100% Salsa, with good music and a welcoming atmosphere. Entry is free and everyone’s invited, so bring your friends, family, and a bottle of water for a lively evening outdoors.
