1–10 September: Schueberfouer – Fair

Enjoy the Schueberfouer, Luxembourg City’s iconic funfair dating back to 1340, until 10 September on the Glacis. Visitors can enjoy classic rides, modern attractions, local treats, and the festive atmosphere that has already drawn thousands this year. More info.

6–7 September: Day by the stream – Family

Steinfort’s Dag bei der Baach brings together a weekend of music, crafts and community spirit. Around forty exhibitors line the artisan market, while live concerts range from indie and funk to folk and blues. 6 September: Berliner Philharmoniker – Music

The Berliner Philharmoniker open the Philharmonie’s new season under Kirill Petrenko with Mahler’s vast Ninth Symphony. Often described as both earthly and dreamlike, it remains one of the composer’s most ambitious works. A fitting start to a year of big musical journeys. Get tickets.

8–9 September: Acting/Improv/Stand-up – Workshops

A new season of acting, improv and stand-up kicks off soon by our friend Melissa of Dig Deep Improv, with options for beginners and seasoned performers alike. From playful taster workshops to full courses and live shows, it’s all about creativity, confidence and plenty of laughs. 12–13 September: LOA Closing – Party

LOA Festival wraps up the season with two days of music, energy and celebration at Metzeschmelz on 12–13 September. Four stages will host over 40 artists, from big names like W&W and Maddix to local support and DJs From Mars. Tickets.

12 September: Lebanon Hanover – Music

Lebanon Hanover bring their cold-wave sound to Luxembourg, a mix of icy detachment and dark romanticism. The duo of Larissa Iceglass and William Maybelline channel art nouveau moods, Berlin’s urban grit and nocturnal wanderings by sea and forest. 12 September: Street Festival – Family

For two days, Strassen's streets transform into a stage for music, acrobatics and street theatre. Over 20 artists deliver fire shows, jaw-dropping stunts and captivating performances. Meet your neighbours and make new friends. More info.

12 September: Rock Against Cancer – Music

Rock Against Cancer returns to Rockhal for its 10th edition, blending live music with a powerful cause. Tribute act Goldmen, German band Project 54 and Belgian DJ Arthur Divoy will share the stage for one night only. All proceeds will go to Fondation Cancer Luxembourg and Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, supporting cancer research and care for children with cancer. Buy tickets at Rockhal.

13–14 September: Buergfest – Fair

Dudelange-Boudersberg transforms into a medieval world for a weekend of markets, music and spectacle. With over 90 stalls, knight tournaments, sword fights, minstrels and fire shows, the festival is the largest of its kind in the Greater Region. A lively journey back in time for all ages. 13 September: TreeBoo Festival – Family

Treeboo Festival returns as a spring gathering where music, art and wellness meet under the open sky. Expect everything from yoga and family activities to global rhythms and immersive performances. 14 September – Dog Swimming – Outdoor

Celebrate the end of the season with a splash – dogs are welcome to swim, splash, and play at Dudelange Outdoor Pool! Owners can relax while their furry friends enjoy the water, but dogs must be supervised at all times and wear a collar or harness. A fun, tail-wagging day for all. More info.

14 September: Archaeological crypt – Tour

As part of Summer in the City, a free UNESCO-guided walk invites you to explore Luxembourg’s layered past. The tour includes rare access to the archaeological crypt of the Saint-Esprit citadel. A chance to see the fortress city’s history from a whole new angle. More info.

14 September: Gogol Bordello – Music

Gogol Bordello bring their wild mix of punk energy and global influences to Luxembourg, led by the unstoppable Eugene Hütz. Known for turning every gig into a sweaty, communal celebration, the band’s latest work dives back into their hardcore roots. 16 September: Cycle for croissants – Sports

As part of European Mobility Week, cyclists at Rond-point Schuman are in for a treat on 16 September. Every rider receives a free croissant in a small gesture of thanks for choosing healthy, eco-friendly transport.

17–21 September – Škoda Tour – Sports

The Škoda Tour de Luxembourg 2025, scheduled from September 17 to 21, marks the 85th edition of this prestigious UCI ProSeries cycling event. Over five days, elite riders will navigate nearly 700 km across Luxembourg’s varied terrain, culminating in a grand finale at the iconic Château de Vianden. All details and maps.

17 September – Marina Satti – Music

Marina Satti blends Greek, Arabic and Balkan musical traditions with modern urban rhythms to create a sound all her own. Her music effortlessly moves between pop, folk, experimental and mainstream styles. A live show that promises genre-defying energy and lyrical depth. Tickets.

19–21 September: Akram Khan Company

Akram Khan returns to Luxembourg with Thikra: Night of Remembering, a visually stunning exploration of memory, heritage, and ritual. An all-female international cast blends classical Bharatanatyam with contemporary movement, set against immersive visuals, lighting, and an original score. A powerful, multi-sensory experience that bridges past and present at the Grand Théâtre.

19–21 September – Swing the Abbey – Dance

Swing the Abbey returns for its 7th edition in Luxembourg City’s historic medieval centre from 19–21 September. Enjoy Lindy Hop with top dancers, solo jazz performances, African dance workshops, and live music from Eyal Vilner & The Hot Five. 19 September: Jazz Exchange – Music

The Bluebird Jazz Exchange returns for its second edition, uniting top musicians from Luxembourg and Germany on one stage. Saxophonist Maxime Bender and trumpeter Daniel Migliosi join forces with bassist Reza Askari and drummer Simon Morger for an evening of improvisation and cross-border dialogue. 19 September: Midsummer Night's Dreams & Devils – Music

20 September: David Lynch Revisited – Music

Step into the dreamlike world of David Lynch through the music that shapes his films and series. 21 September: Portugal Comedy Club – Comedy

24 September: Rockhal celebrates 20 years – Music

Rocklab marks 20 years of supporting Luxembourg’s music scene with a one-night-only celebration at Rockhal. More than thirty local artists will share the stage in surprising line-ups, from unexpected duets to exclusive collaborations. The free concert promises a snapshot of the past, present and future of homegrown music. The show is free.

25 September – Aperinetwork – Networking

Aperinetwork is back at Melusina in Clausen, ready to kick off the post-holiday season. Expect cocktails, food, music and the same great vibes that make the biggest networking events of Luxembourg special. A relaxed chance to reconnect and mingle.

25–27 September: Dinner in the sky – Food

Dinner in the Sky returns to Luxembourg for its sixth edition, offering a culinary experience like no other. Guests will dine 50 metres above the city on a five-course feast prepared by renowned chefs, accompanied by fine wines and champagne. With only 32 seats per service, it’s an intimate and unforgettable gastronomic adventure and requires fast reservation.

25 September: Jake Xerxes Fussell – Music
