Besides Winterlights running in the capital, various Christmas markets are opening their chalet doors this weekend (we have a whole article on them here). Wanterflair opens in Park Hesperange on Sunday, Differdange, Mondorf-les-Bains and Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday. The Mersch, Vianden and Petange Christmas Markets as well as the Wantermaart in Bertrange only take place this weekend. Enjoy the activities, food and drinks and entertainment at these places.

2. Explore free science festival
What: Experiments, talks and learning

The Rockhal will once again transform into a giant research lab with their Researchers' Days. With over 30 interactive workshops, researchers and science communicators are ready to engage with curious minds of all ages. Discover the world of bees, AI, coding, hydrogen, bio composites, sound waves, sustainable fishing, taxonomy, digestion and robots. Open to the public between 10am-7pm, entrance is free and no need to register.

Luxembourg's magical Christmas Show is back on the Glacis. Prepare for a fun-filled event featuring acclaimed artists, including performers from Cirque de Soleil and the world-famous Monte-Carlo Circus Festival. With breathtaking performances, thrilling acts and a family friendly-atmosphere, Cirque de Lux is an animal-free show, which promises to be a magical experience for the entire family. Runs for over a month until 5 January.
4. Support Red Cross Bazar
What: Artisan and handmade designs
Where: In big tent on Glacis
When: Saturday, 30 November and Sunday, 1 December - more info here
Don't miss this chance to buy handicrafts, second-hand and designer objects, as well as second-hand clothes and treats and all for a good cause at the Red Cross Bazar. Head to the big tent on the Glacis. The food village will also allow you to eat on site and children can meet Kleeschen. Starts both days at 10am.

5. Watch Gladiator II

If you're into massive budget Hollywood blockbusters, Gladiator II is not to be missed. 6. Cheer on Luxembourg vs Croatia in rugby

7. Listen to Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
What: Comedy music show

When: Sunday, 1 December at 11am - info & tickets
Known for their quirky sense of humor, the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain are set to deliver a virtuoso, tongue-in-cheek performance for the whole family. From classical to rock, they play ukeleles of all sizes and characters. Starts at 11am and a few tickets are still left at the time of writing.
