Get tickets to a three-day classical music festival in Echternach this weekend – including orchestral, chamber, and baroque music with national and international guests. Concerts take place at Trifolion, the Basilica of Saint Willibrord, and Lycée Classique d'Echternach.

2. Visit museums at night

For the night owls among you, head down to the wonderful Museum Night with a special programme of performances, DJ sets, music, workshops, and special guided tours in 7 participating museums, open between 5pm–1am. Free shuttle buses are available. Here's a little recap video of the 2022 edition:
3. See films from Central and Eastern Europe

The annual CinEast festival shines a spotlight on Central and Eastern European cinema, with Croatia being the country of focus this year. Expect dozens of screenings, talks with directors, invited actors, and a concert and exhibition programme running until 20 October.

4. Run/walk in fight against cancer

Think Pink Luxembourg is keeping up the fight against cancer with their sixth annual 'Race for the Cure' at the Auberge de Jeunesse Echternach. For this year's event, participants can run, walk, or jog around the lake as many times as they want. Racers will be in groups, with runners and joggers taking off at 10.30am and walkers starting immediately thereafter. Here's an interview with the organisers.

5. Don't be nuts, grab some nuts

Up to 20,000 people head to Vianden for its famous nut market ('Veiner Nessmoort') every year, to buy nuts, try the speciality cakes, vinegars, and famous 'Nessdrepp' (nut schnapps) and soak up the atmosphere of this traditional Luxembourg day out.

6. Watch thought-provoking play

Lone Wolf is a play in Gibberish, which explores social expectations, consumerism, school shootings, as well as the tension between group behaviour and the need for recognition of the individual, created by Anne Simon and Isaac Bush.

7. Hear world music at Festival atlântico

One of the best world music festivals of Luxembourg returns this weekend: hear Portuguese, Cape Verdean, and Brazilian artists for a week full of concerts and events catering to all age groups. Tickets are still available to some concerts, while others are sold out. Make sure to catch the big party on Saturday night too!
