2. Take part in International Women's Day events
We're marking International Women's Day on 8 March this year, and quite a few events are celebrating this. First, the annual women's march by JIF departs Place de Paris at 5pm. The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg, in partnership with the British Ladies Club, is hosting a panel at 6pm on Friday at Silversquare, talking about professional success, empowerment and building a women-led community. Villa Vauban has guided, thematic visits on its exhibition, and Kulturhuef is screening a film about inspiring ladies of Luxembourg. End your Friday with a 'Queen's Night' party, or settle into Sunday with a jazz concert giving voice to the strong women of Greek mythology.

Screenings and events are taking place at venues such as the Cinémathèque, Ciné Utopia, Kinepolis, Casino and Neimenster, and international juries will be handing out grand prizes.
Duncan Roberts, who joined the selection committee in 2017, visited Melissa Dalton on The Home Stretch last week to chat about this year's festival.
