Following successive price hikes for diesel and SP95, SP98 is now also affected. The fuel will see an increase of 3.5 cents per litre from Thursday in Luxembourg.

The rise in fuel prices continues in the Grand Duchy. After diesel and SP95 petrol, it is now SP98 that is seeing its price climb.

From Thursday, a litre of SP98 will rise by 3.5 cents, bringing the total price at the pump to €1.968.

This latest increase follows several recent adjustments. On Tuesday evening, a significant rise in diesel was recorded, followed by an increase in SP95.

For motorists, the bill continues to mount, even if the price differences vary depending on the fuel. SP98 – often used in newer or high-performance petrol engines – has now crossed a new symbolic threshold.

On a 50-litre tank, this increase represents an additional €1.75, approximately.
