The Adapto service was specifically designed to increase the mobility of people with disabilities. The service was recently reformed and eligibility criteria have become stricter - leaving countless users angry and frustrated. The government conceded more or less overtly that the reformed service was not flawless yet.

Minister for Mobility François Bausch explained that it was important for the government to react to potential issues as quickly as possible. Customer support phone lines and staff at the main mobility centre were for example increased in number to keep up with the high demand.

Some good news also for Adapo users who had their application refused: they will be allowed to keep their travel card until they can formally appeal against the decision. This option will be defined under a new mobility law that is expected to be passed in the summer.

Adapto service criteria remain unchanged, but will become stricter
