A 24-year prison sentence for a 2022 vehicular assault in Schlammestee has been finalised after the convicted man declined to appeal.

A man convicted of intentionally driving into three people outside a nightclub in Schlammestee in 2022 will serve a 24-year prison sentence after opting not to appeal the ruling.

The incident occurred in mid-September three years ago, when the individual deliberately struck three victims with his car, leaving them with serious injuries.

Following a trial in March 2025, during which the defendant was absent, the court handed down the 24-year term.

A spokesperson for the judicial administration has now confirmed to the newspaper Luxemburger Wort that the window for filing an appeal has closed. With the sentence legally binding, the convicted man is required to serve the full prison term.
