A suspected burglar was apprehended in Dudelange early Wednesday following a prompt police response that was triggered after a neighbour startled the intruder during the act.

An intruder was arrested in Dudelange overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday following a burglary on Rue de la Libération, thanks in part to the alertness of a local resident.

According to police reports, the incident occurred at around 2am on Wednesday when an individual gained entry to a detached house through its garage door and stole several items.

The suspect fled after being startled by a resident but was located shortly afterwards by a police patrol. The stolen property was successfully recovered.

Following the arrest, which was carried out on the orders of the public prosecutor's office, the suspect is scheduled to appear before an examining magistrate on the afternoon of 15 October 2025.
