Two intoxicated individuals were apprehended by police in Luxembourg City on Monday, with one caught harassing pedestrians while armed with a truncheon.

Police in Luxembourg City arrested two individuals on Monday evening, one of whom was found carrying a truncheon while intoxicated.

The first arrest occurred around 8pm in the Gare neighbourhood, near the central railway station. Officers encountered an intoxicated individual who was reportedly harassing passers-by while armed with a truncheon. The individual was taken into police custody.

Later that evening, another person was found lying on the ground on Rue Adolphe Fischer, also in the Gare neighbourhood. Upon arrival, officers determined the individual was heavily intoxicated and subsequently detained them overnight in a cell to sober up.

Both individuals were fined.
