Power was cut to homes in three Luxembourg municipalities Friday morning after strong winds brought a tree down onto a power line.

A fallen tree on a power line caused electricity cuts in three Luxembourg municipalities on Friday morning. The incident affected residents in Sandweiler, Schrassig, and Oetrange.

The outages are a direct result of the strong winds impacting the region, which have also disrupted road traffic. RTL also received reports of a brief power cut in Lamadelaine.

Crews from the grid operator Creos are on-site working to repair the damaged line and restore power as quickly as possible.
