Protesters and US law enforcement clash after immigration officer kills woman

Protesters have clashed with law enforcement officers in Minneapolis today after the fatal shooting of a woman by an immigration agent triggered outrage fueled by the Trump administration’s insistence she was guilty of “domestic terrorism.”

The noisy crowd chanted slogans attacking the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency as officers pushed against protesters, detaining several including one who struck an agent with a cardboard sign.

The victim of Wednesday’s shooting, identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, was hit at point-blank range as she apparently tried to drive away from agents who were crowding around her car, which they said was blocking their way. Footage of the incident shows a masked ICE agent attempt to open the woman’s car door before another masked agent fired three times into the Honda SUV.

Figure of the day

New apartment prices are down 3.6% while existing houses and apartments are 0.9% lower

  • The end of the housing incentive package coincides with this recent price decrease. To recall, between the end of 2022 and the end of 2023, prices had already fallen significantly in the Grand Duchy, before rising again, boosted by government aid.
  • For new apartments (off-plan sales) and existing houses, the decline began as early as the end of the second quarter of 2025. In the first case, the average price per square meter even fell back below the €10,000 mark. During the summer, it was still at €10,411; it is now €9,863.
