Heavy thunder and rain on Saturday night caused five accidents on Luxembourg's roads, resulting in injuries to seven people, according to the Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS).

At 10.30pm between Capellen and Aire de Capellen on the A6, an accident occurred between a car and a truck leaving two people injured.

Three accidents occurred, each leaving one person injured in Closebierg in Hautcharage, between Windhof and Steinfort and on the N27 near Hoscheid respectively.

At 12.14am, two injuries were reported after a car accident on Rue Charlemagne in Belair.
