
A series of road accidents occurred across Luxembourg on Wednesday, causing traffic disruptions and several injuries.
On the A1 motorway, an accident involving a car and a motorcycle occurred between the Mertert and Potaschberg exits at around 6.40am. The resulting traffic jam temporarily reached a length of approximately 7 kilometres. The accident was cleared by around 9am, and the congestion gradually subsided.
Shortly before 7.30am, a cyclist was struck by a car on the N37, leaving two people injured. Paramedics from Sanem-Differdange attended the scene.
A collision involving two cars occurred on Grand-Rue in Troisvierges shortly afterwards. No injuries were reported.
One person was injured on Avenue de Luxembourg in Bascharage when a car and a motorbike collided shortly before 8am. Paramedics from Esch-sur-Alzette and Bascharage were deployed.
An accident involving two cars occurred at the Glück roundabout in Luxembourg City. No injuries were reported.
On the N15 between Schumannseck and Buderscheid at around 3.15pm, a car and a van collided, leaving one person injured. The victim was treated by paramedics from Wiltz and the Lac de la Haute-Sûre municipality.
Shortly before 4pm, paramedics from Luxembourg City and Hesperange were called to the CR226 between Itzig and Itzigerstee, where a car and a bus had collided. No injuries were reported.
One person was injured at 4.33pm on Route de Luxembourg in Pétange, following a collision between a car and a motorbike. Paramedics from Pétange and Sanem-Differdange attended the scene.
