For over 40 years, the border between the municipalities of Roeser and Zoufftgen have undergone yearly checks. However, nowadays, the tradition has turned into an opportunity for a fun activity among the residents of both municipalities.

In the early days of the tradition, the people working at the municipal administrations would take on the job themselves. However today, residents take part in the activities as well.

The border-marking stones are placed along a 2 km stretch between the two municipalities. There are around 156 to 161 on the Luxembourgish side of the border.
