During a follow-up check, a third of the 18 businesses were still in violation of official regulations.

According to the Ministry for Consumer Protection, 18 out of 41 butcher's shops located inside supermarkets were found to use wrongly calibrated scales. Some of the checked businesses stated that they were not aware of the regulations in place.

During a follow-up check, the majority of them had adjusted their scales accordingly. Six businesses continued to ignore the rules and were fined as a result.
