1. Visit migration, culture and citizenship festival

This 41st edition of the Festival of Migration, Culture and Citizenship is a place to see the diversity of citizenship and culture in the Grand Duchy. Organised by the Liaison and Action Committee for Foreigners (CLAE), the festival focuses on literature, cinematography, music, art and gastronomy to highlight and bring together the people that shape Luxembourg. The event has over 40,000 visitors per year.

2. Get tickets to Echternach jazz festival
What: With Chris Potter Trio and Youn Sun Nah
Where: Trifolion, 2 Prte St Willibrord, 6486 Echternach

Three days of jazz are lined up at Trifolion Echternach, bringing together internationally renowned acts as well as local stars. Thursday will see French pianist Thierry Maillard and drummer Anne Paceo take to the stage, followed by South Korean jazz musician Youn Sun Nah and local pop/chamber ensemble The Aquatic Museum on Saturday. The one and only Chris Potter will take to the stage on Sunday with his trio, as well as local trumpeter Daniel Migliosi and Montreal-based pianist Gentiane MG. 3. See English school theatre groups
What: Nine English plays

When: Friday, 23 February at 7pm and Saturday, 24 February at 1.30pm - info & tickets
Enjoy a wide variety of engaging and entertaining plays presented by English-speaking pupils from Luxembourg at Rotondes this weekend. Not only do these plays give students the chance to boost their language, communication and acting skills, but they also showcase the diverse talent amongst pupils in Luxembourg. 4. Join First Lego League Luxembourg
What: Hone your robotic skills
Where: Forum Geesseknäppchen, Boulevard Pierre Dupong, L-1430 Luxembourg

The first Lego League Luxembourg is hosted by Science.lu this weekend, providing interesting challenges and activities for Lego lovers of all ages. Test your robotic skills and witness some of the best Lego creations between 9am-3pm.

5. See Gladiator
What: Ridley Scott classic
Where: Cinémathèque, 17 Pl. du Théâtre, 2613 Luxembourg

In this historical epic, Roman general Maximus is sold into slavery as a gladiator by Commodus. Maximus is relegated to fighting till death as a gladiator, determined to avenge the murders of his family and the emperor.
6. Hear Beethoven piano concert
What: One of the great composers
Where: Philharmonie, 1 Pl. de l'Europe, 1499 Luxembourg

To this day, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concertos are considered a special challenge for pianists, not only in terms of technique, but also interpretation. Rudolf Buchbinder accepts the challenge, not only by playing these works, but leading the Luxembourg Philharmonic from the keyboard at the same time – on two evenings dedicated exclusively to the five Piano Concertos. A fascinating journey into the history of the genre, which will also be the subject of a lecture by Stefan Keym in German at the Salle de Musique de Chambre on Thursday at 6.45pm.

7. Support charities at Arts Festival

The Anglican Church of Luxembourg is hosting its annual Charity Arts Festival this Sunday, taking place at the Konvikt Centre chapel. The family event features an interactive family musical called Good News Travels Fast, various artistic workshops, musical performances and refreshments, which will be served throughout. Proceeds will be donated to the charities supported by the Anglican Church of Luxembourg, including Stëmm vun der Strooss, Friendship, Naledi South Africa, World Vision Romania, CoCo and Greyton Genadendal Education Fund.
