Den Atelier’s Michel Welter joined Today Radio‘s Sam Steen to tell us everything you need to know ahead of this weekend’s festival
“We invade the whole Grund Area” said Michel referring to the fact that the festival is set to have seven different stages and activity areas between Neimenster, Melusina and de Gudde Wellen.
There is a jam packed line up of artists from Luxembourg and around the world performing at this years festival with groups such as Sorry, ENGLBRT and Phoenix set to feature.
Phoenix, the veteran indie pop-group from Paris are returning to Luxembourg armed with tunes from seven albums including their most recent “Alpha Zulu” which was released last November. You can find them headlining the main stage at 10 pm.

Korean-American musician Michelle Zauner and her band Japanese Breakfast, will no doubt be a highlight for many.
The band is best known for their album “Jubilee,” which earned two Grammy Awards nominations, along with their legendary performances at both Coachella and Bonnaroo in 2022. Bringing their enthusiastic sound to stage, you can find them on the main stage at 6:45pm.
If you’d like to hear more about Japanese Breakfast, have a listen to The Deep Dive which featured the group for Women’s History Month.
Another group who’s sound may grab your attention is that of Star Feminine Band.
Sharing their remarkable story, this all-girl group formed recently in 2016 in their hometown Naitingou, Benin. Aged 12-19, these women released their second album “In Paris” last September, marking their status as one of the few groups in Benin with female musicians.
If you’re looking to expand your musical horizons, you can move over to the Melusina Stage which will hast bands such as Sprints and The Haunted Youth.
Sprints are a free spirited band hailing from Dublin with a raucous, authentic sound that is quickly gathering fans across Europe. With a number of EPs under their belt, a debut album is in the works and they are ready to bring their punk battle cries to Luxembourg at 6pm.
If you’d like to find out more about Sprints, check out the interview Sam Steen did with them earlier this year by clicking here.
The Belgian indie sensation The Haunted Youth will also be making an appearance at the Melusina Stage.
The hype around this band has been intense, with debut LP “Dawn of The Freak” living up to it’s name, becoming the dawn of the band’s success.
Their songs showcase the struggles of life, but are filled of guitars and synths which have struck a chord with indie lovers not only in Europe, but also the US. They will be hitting the stage at 9pm.
