‘Put your flags away, and take them with you’: European Parliament presiding speaker Mairead McGuinness scolds Brexit MEPs as they wave Union Jacks in European Parliament, marking their last contribution to European democracy.
The outspoken Brexit campaigner, Mr Farage told MEPs that Brexit has showed that “the British are too big to bully”.
The rowdy party members were warned that flags are against the rules of the European Parliament chamber and were asked to leave.
Farage did indeed leave the chambers but not before suggesting that the EU system was “power without accountability.”
