Luxair stated that flight LG741 to Lanzarote and flight LG591 to Naples were both turned around last week on Sunday morning for precautionary reasons and flew back to Luxembourg Airport. Both aircraft landed safely in Luxembourg without any issues, according to Luxair. The airline stressed that passengers were kept informed by the crew and were never at any point in danger.
Luxair added that although such disruptions are always avoided where possible, passenger and crew safety remains the top priority. Luxair made clear that, in certain situations, this may require a flight to turn back as a preventive measure.
