The cat had become trapped high up in the branches and was unable to free itself. Using a crane, firefighters were able to reach the animal and bring it safely back down.
The CIS Luxembourg responded with eight crew members and several vehicles for the operation, which remained in place until the rescue was completed and the street could be reopened.
