On Monday, Luxembourg’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Xavier Bettel, and Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Viticulture Martine Hansen, visited the prestigious Wine Paris exhibition in the French capital.
Wine Paris is one of the world’s leading international events dedicated to wine and crémant. The 2026 edition, which runs until 11 February, brings together more than 6,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries and attracts trade visitors from 155 different markets.
Luxembourg is represented at the fair with its own national pavilion, “Vins & Crémants Luxembourg”, coordinated by the Luxembourg Wine Solidarity Fund, known as the Fonds de solidarité viticole. Thirteen Luxembourg winegrowers are showcasing their products at the stand.
Both ministers underlined the importance of using such a high-profile international platform to highlight Luxembourg’s wines and crémants beyond national borders.
Hansen stressed that events like Wine Paris offer Luxembourg producers a unique opportunity to demonstrate the quality and craftsmanship of their products to an international audience. Bettel, meanwhile, pointed to the strong export potential of Luxembourg wines, describing Wine Paris as an ideal setting to present their excellence and to open the door to new markets abroad.
