Train traffic on Line 60, which connects Luxembourg City to Esch-sur-Alzette and Rodange, is now progressively returning to normal, CFL said late Friday afternoon, while advising passengers that train delays or suppressions could still occur.
Service had been suspended in both directions between Bettembourg and Belval-Université due to an earlier emergency incident requiring intervention by rescue services in Esch. To support passenger travel during the disruption, replacement buses were deployed.
The line is expected to have a higher-than-usual amount of passengers this weekend due to the Opening Session of the Luxembourg Open Air festival in Belval.
