A man sustained life-threatening injuries after falling from his e-scooter in Bettembourg at around 4.30pm on Saturday, police reported. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene, where he was said to be incapable of speech. It is thought the man was not wearing a helment.
Further investigation revealed the e-scooter had undergone modifications to allow it to exceed the maximum permitted speed. The vehicle has been seized by the authorities as a result.
