1. Party at LOA

The LOA Festival kicks off the 2025 season with a bang at LOA Esch on 9 & 10 May in Belval. With 30+ artists across 3 stages – including John Newman, Nervo, and Topic – expect a high-energy weekend of EDM, techno, house, and more. From food trucks and chill-out zones to workshops and themed bars, this two-day fest has everything to thrill 15,000+ LOAvers. Last tickets are still available.
2. Celebrate Europe Day and visit Parliament

Europe Day celebrations return to Luxembourg on 9 May, when the European Parliament opens its doors as it marks the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration. Immerse yourself in the visitors' centre, discover languages, learn more about the EU's agenda, its career opportunities, the unity in diversity, and take the EU knowledge quiz!
3. Get ready for Like A Jazz Machine

For five days in May, Dudelange becomes a crossroads for bold improvisation and deep grooves as Like A Jazz Machine returns for its 13th edition. Over 70 musicians from around the world will gather to celebrate jazz in all its traditions and experimental twists. With performances from iconic artists like Chico Freeman, Aki Takase, and Michel Reis, along with album premieres and fresh talent, it’s a festival built for those who crave their jazz live, fearless, and full of life.

4. Visit Mäertchen fair

Step into a slice of Luxembourg tradition at the Mäertchen fair as of this weekend. What began as a humble market for fasting pilgrims has blossomed into a 16-day celebration in the heart of Luxembourg City. Expect a vibrant mix of fairground games, rides, tasty local treats, and charming market stalls. Running from the third Saturday after Easter until Pentecost, it’s the perfect way to soak up springtime spirit and local heritage.

5. Watch The Substance

6. Take in acrobatic performance to Mahler's music

Austrian ensemble Franui joins forces with acclaimed Australian circus troupe Circa to reimagine Gustav Mahler’s works through stunning acrobatics and theatrical flair. Directed by Yaron Lifschitz, this bold performance blends classical music with contemporary circus, dance, and drama.

7. Join nature festival on the Kinnekswiss
What: LUGA season
Where: Luxembourg's municipal park

This Saturday the Kinnekswiss lawn transforms into a vibrant open-air celebration. Organised by Luxembourg Urban Garden, the exhibition and programme is centered around eco-conscious living and marks the kickoff of the LUGA 2025 exhibition and the LUGA programme. Expect artistic performances, engaging workshops for children, installations, and more.
