In the morning, at around 11.15am, a fight involving several people was reported in Diekirch, during which one of those involved injured another with a knife. Officers were able to seize the weapon off the alleged assailant.

He was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and appeared before the examining magistrate on Sunday morning.

Two men got into trouble for rowdy behaviour at the emergency department of the Hospital Centre Emile Mayrisch (CHEM) in Esch-sur-Alzette later in the evening.

At around 10.30pm, one intoxicated man turned up at the hospital with an aggressive demeanor and refused to calm down when police arrived on the scene. As he posed a danger to himself and to others, he was placed in temporary custody.

A second man, who tried to intervene in the situation, criticised the officers' actions and refused to calm down himself, was also taken into temporary custody following a medical examination.
