Tom Cash has been appointed as the new director of the government’s Information and Press Service (SIP), succeeding Jean-Claude Olivier. The decision was made by the Government Council during its meeting on 13 June 2025, under the leadership of Prime Minister Luc Frieden. The recommendation will be submitted to the Grand Duke, with the appointment set to take effect on 1 July 2025.

Tom Cash has been part of the SIP since 2017, when he joined the Government Communication and Internet Division. He became director of that division in 2019 and also took on responsibility for the publishing and press releases department. Prior to his time at the SIP, Cash held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Direct Tax Administration.
