The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps responded to a number of incidents overnight, including accidents and smoke reports.

A cyclist was hurt in a fall on the CR122 between Dreiborn and Flaxweiler at around 5.45pm on Saturday. Mertert and Wormeldange emergency teams attended.

Two cars collided on the N7 between Marnach and Hosingen. Fortunately, no one was injured.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, multiple vehicles were involved in a crash in Scheedhaff, towards Sandweiler, leaving three people with injuries. Two ambulances from the capital and one from Remich assisted at the scene.

The CGDIS also responded to multiple reports of smoke. In Wasserbillig and Esch-sur-Alzette, smoke was reported on the street between 9pm and 9.30pm. No damage was reported, however.

In Sanem, a fire started at the Gadderscheier industrial zone, shortly after 11pm on Saturday. A conveyor belt was said to have caught fire at Kronospan, triggering a major response. As of Sunday morning, the fire was yet to be fully extinguished, due to the difficulty in putting it out. No one was harmed in the incident.
