Luxembourg’s secondary schools will introduce several new academic specialisations for the 2025/2026 academic year, expanding options for students entering their fifth year of secondary education. These specialised “sections” determine curricula for students’ final three years of schooling.

At Lycée Michel Lucius (LML), a new “Music Production” section will combine audio engineering and music theory with cultural sector preparation, while maintaining core mathematics and physics requirements.

The Business and Management School will launch two new programmes: an “Economic Affairs” section focusing on entrepreneurship and business creation, and a “Data Literacy” programme designed to train future data specialists in collection, analysis, and interpretation techniques, including assessing data reliability and usage risks.

Beyond secondary education, adult learners will gain access to a new French-language training path for aspiring educators. Simultaneously, the Luxembourg Hotel and Tourism School (EHTL) will expand to Wickrange in southern Luxembourg, where students can pursue a Professional Aptitude Diploma (DAP) programme for restaurant ownership among other hospitality qualifications.
