The collision occurred on the CR143 between Gostingen and Oberdonven just before the crossing towards Kapenacker.
One person sustained injuries in the collision.
As police officers arrived at the scene, the road was still quite icy. These icy conditions may have caused the accident.
Alongside the police, Luxembourg City's Samu service, an ambulance from Remich, and firefighters from Wormeldange and Flaxweiler attended the crash.
Initially, the emergency services closed the road completely for all oncoming traffic.
At 10.15am, one lane was reopened.
By 11am, the accident scene had been cleared up and the road was completely open to motorists again.
