When questioned on the possibility of introducing a rental service such as Vel'oh for electric scooters, the mayor's office said it was not on the programme at all.

Patrick Goldschmit, the alderman in charge of mobility, said that despite receiving a number of requests from companies wishing to partner with the City in offering electric scooters, it was not something they were planning to introduce.

The use of the scooters is not an issue for officials, but they would prefer to highlight services already in place, such as the Vel'oh rental service, buses, and the car rental system Carloh.

Minister for Mobility François Bausch announced on Radio 100.7 that they were planning to add the electric scooter to the Highway Code, which should be completed within two years.
