The third edition of the UNICEF City Run will take place on Saturday, 4 July.

According to Pol Heber of UNICEF Luxembourg, the event aims not only to raise funds but also to place a strong emphasis on enjoyment. Heber described it as "a fun day for the whole family," adding that beyond the run itself, there will be various activities for attendees to discover and experience. UNICEF's goal, he said, is to create a "relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere" in which everyone can have a good time.

The course consists of a 1.3-kilometre lap, and participants are free to complete as many laps as they wish, either by running or walking. Heber emphasised that the event is deliberately designed to be inclusive, welcoming all demographics. Participants may bring dogs or pushchairs, and there will be no official timekeeping to maintain a relaxed environment. "Everyone will be able to participate in their own way and at their own speed," he said.

In addition to the run, the event will feature children's activities and games, as well as food trucks and drinks stands.

Registrations are now open. The participation fee is €30 for adults and €15 for children, which includes a T-shirt to be collected on the day of the event. Once registered, participants can use the event website to launch their own fundraising campaigns or create teams, allowing multiple people to run together and collect donations under a shared name. Businesses are also invited to sign up or make a donation in support of an individual or a team.
