Police have reported a series of incidents that took place between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

The first occurred at around 4.30pm on Monday, when police and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) were called to the CR123 between Cruchten and Essingen following a car crash. According to the police bulletin, the motorist lost control of their vehicle after hitting a small bridge wall. The car then veered into a hill, overturned, and came to rest on its roof. Both the vehicle and the bridge wall sustained damage. Preliminary information suggests the driver did not suffer major injuries but was nevertheless taken to hospital. Officers revoked the motorist's driving licence after determining that they were heavily intoxicated.

In the early hours of Tuesday, two further drink-driving incidents were recorded. At around 4am, a car nearly collided with a police vehicle in Schifflange, with the driver again found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Just over an hour later, at approximately 5am, a patrol spotted a vehicle driving in serpentines through the Robert Schaffner roundabout in the direction of Remich. Officers stopped the car near the Cargolux headquarters, where the motorist admitted to having consumed alcohol – a fact later confirmed by a breathalyser test. Their driving licence was also revoked.

Around 15 minutes later, another driver lost their licence in a similar incident between Gonderange and Flaxweiler.

Separately, police reported a mugging near the pirate ship in the municipal park of Luxembourg City at around 3.40am. The attack was preceded by a verbal and physical altercation, during which the victim sustained knife wounds to the leg. After injuring the victim, the culprits stole their mobile phone.

On the eve of National Day, authorities received a total of 30 noise complaints. In their bulletin, police highlighted one particular case in Lamadelaine shortly after midnight, where officers had to intervene and break up a badminton game between teenagers.
