
Two road traffic accidents required the help of the emergency services last night. The first occurred on the RN31 between Kayl and Rumelange shortly before 7pm, resulting in one person with mild injuries.
The second happened around 1.45am on the CR347 between Stegen and Schieren, with one person evacuated from their car following the accident. Injuries were not reported to be severe.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps also intervened in two small fires - both in Alzingen. A bin on Rue de l'Eglise in caught fire late afternoon on Friday, and the second fire was an electrical fire on Rue de Roeser at around 10.20pm.
On Saturday morning, a motorist crashed into a lamppost on the N34 in Bertrange towards Strassen. The driver was injured in the collision.
Just after 9am, two cars collided on Rue Edmond Reuter in Contern. One person sustained injuries.
