On Friday afternoon around 2.30pm an accident involving a car and cyclist occurred on the road between Windhof and Steinfort near the Belgian border.

The car and cyclist collided at the junction between Rue Randlingen, Rue de Luxembourg, and Rue Wëtzkëllchen. The cyclist was heading straight along Rue Randlingen when the car came from Wëtzkëllchen, planning on turning left towards Windhof. As the car turned, it crashed into the cyclist. Th impact threw the cyclist  over the car's hood.

A first responder (Samu) attended to the cyclist, who was then taken to hospital by an Air Rescue helicopter. The police have only confirmed that the man has not sustained life-threatening issues, but have not specified any further details concerning the injuries.

The N6 was closed off for some time, causing traffic issues. The road was cleared at around 3pm.
