In Luxembourg, Hallowe'en is no longer just about candy: it’s a full experience, from movie-inspired outfits to immersive corn mazes.
In Wasserbillig, costume enthusiast Simone Antoine is busy preparing for the Halloween rush. Her stock contains over 20,000 items, catering to both adults and children. This year, adults are particularly drawn to costumes inspired by movies and Netflix series, such as Wicked or Terrifier. Makeup, too, has become an essential part of the Hallowe'en experience, and with professional-quality products readily available – plus YouTube tutorials – achieving a striking look at home has never been easier, Antoine notes.
But Hallowe'en isn’t just about costumes. In Keispelt, farmer Franky Peller has transformed his fields into a Hallowe'en corn maze, offering fun for visitors of all ages. With creativity and seasonal flair, he and his wife have set up several Hallowe'en-themed stations throughout the maze, which takes about 30 minutes to navigate. Afterward, guests can choose their own pumpkins from the field.
Peller’s farm spans four hectares and features a large garden where visitors can pick flowers and harvest vegetables themselves. Open from April to November for the past five years, the farm grows in popularity each season. The Hallowe'en maze, in particular, has been a huge hit, especially on weekends, when crowds often overflow onto the surrounding fields.
