A robbery on Friday evening has triggered a police search after two criminals threatened petrol station staff with a gun before fleeing with cash and cigarettes.
On Friday evening, a petrol station in Rollingergrund, Luxembourg City, was the target of an armed robbery.
According to police, the two perpetrators remain on the run after threatening the petrol station’s staff with a weapon and making off with cash and cigarettes.
Police immediately launched a large-scale search involving several units, but so far it has been unsuccessful. The investigation is ongoing.
On Friday evening, authorities urged the public not to pick up anyone in the area by car.
Any suspicious persons witnessed in the vicinity of Rollingergrund on Friday evening should be reported immediately to the police by calling 113.
Forensic officers and a patrol unit with a search dog were sent to the scene.
