A violent collision occurred on Monday morning between Gonderange and Waldhof – emergency services are still on site at the time of writing.
Two cars collided on the N11 on Monday morning, shortly after 9am, between Gonderange and Waldhof – a road that was the scene of a deadly accident a few years ago and more recently in September.
The emergency service 112 confirmed that the two vehicles collided head-on and that two people were injured, one of them seriously.
Significant resources were deployed to assist the victims. One of the injured had to be extracted from the vehicle.
Two ambulances, three fire trucks, emergency medical services (SAMU), and police were dispatched to the scene. Traffic remains disrupted on this route as of 11am.
Pedestrian hit in Esch-sur-Alzette
Rue d'Audun in Esch-sur-Alzette was closed to traffic early this morning following an accident involving a pedestrian. The person was reportedly hit by a car around 7am. He was injured and taken to the hospital.
Two more people were injured in another accident between Grundhof and Müllerthal this morning, shortly before 7am. Rescue teams from Beaufort and Echternach were deployed to the scene.
