Police reports burglaries and thefts from vehicles over the weekend, with four suspects identified and formally reported.
On Sunday afternoon, a burglary occurred on Rue de la Montagne in Schifflange, where unknown perpetrators broke into a house, searched through rooms, and stole items including an electric scooter. Around the same time, police were alerted to another break-in at a shop on Rue de Hollerich in Luxembourg City's Gare district, where a window had been smashed and several bottles of alcohol stolen. Investigations have been launched in both cases.
In Livange, three suspected burglars were stopped by police in the early hours of Monday. The trio had first been seen in the garden of a single-family home on Rue de l'Église before reportedly attempting to open car doors on Rue de Peppange. Officers intervened and filed reports against all three individuals.
Several vehicles were also targeted over the weekend. On Sunday morning on Rue d'Esch, Schifflange, a wallet was stolen from a car, though police later identified and reported a suspect. Another theft from a car took place on Sunday evening in a Hollerich car park, where a wallet and headphones were taken. Investigations are ongoing.
