Upon stopping the vehicle, officers discovered it was stolen, the driver had no licence, and they were under the influence of drugs. The suspect was arrested under the orders of the public prosecutor's office and brought before an examining magistrate on Friday morning.
In the early hours of Saturday, a collision occurred between a police car and another vehicle on Montée de Clausen in Luxembourg City. Both vehicles sustained damage to their left side mirrors, and the driver involved in the incident initially fled the scene. However, they were stopped shortly afterward. The driver, found to be intoxicated, could only present a photo of a foreign driving licence. A provisional driving ban was issued.
