The government has no current plans to study the installation of a speed camera on the CR306 road between Vichten and Bissen, Mobility Minister Yuriko Backes told parliament.
In response to a question from Democratic Party (DP) MP André Bauler, Minister for Mobility and Public Works Yuriko Backes stated that no study is currently underway for the installation of a speed camera on the CR306 between Vichten and Bissen. The minister clarified that while there is no current data on further recent accidents along this stretch, a task force will monitor its accident history to identify any potential infrastructural causes.
Backes confirmed that technical measures have already been implemented in recent years as a result of past observations. These measures include improved signage and road markings, as well as the creation of a run-off area after the right-hand bend towards Bissen. Additionally, the guardrail protection for motorcyclists was enhanced in the autumn of 2024.
