Two separate accidents on the A1 towards Trier and the A4 towards Luxembourg City are causing significant traffic disruptions, with tailbacks stretching several kilometres on Tuesday afternoon.
Drivers are advised to expect significant delays on the A1 towards Trier and the A4 towards Luxembourg City on Tuesday afternoon due to two separate accidents causing multi-kilometre tailbacks.
On the A1 in the direction of Trier, an accident involving three vehicles has been reported between the Howald tunnel and the Sandweiler/Hamm exit. According to authorities, the right-hand lane and hard shoulder are blocked, forcing traffic to merge into the overtaking lane. The resulting queues stretch back approximately five kilometres to the A3.
Meanwhile, on the A4 towards Luxembourg City, a collision between a lorry and a car before the slip road for the A13 (towards Schengen) has blocked one lane. Traffic is also reported to be heavy in the opposite direction near the Foetz exit, with tailbacks extending several kilometres.
