A serious road accident occurred on Thursday morning west of Bettembourg, resulting in two people sustaining injuries.
According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), a vehicle went off the road and overturned on an embankment between Huncherange and Bergem.
Preliminary information indicates that the incident happened around 10am when the driver lost control of the vehicle while driving in a straight line. The car struck a tree before overturning and coming to rest on its roof.
Two people were injured in the accident. Firefighters were despatched to the scene and had to extricate the occupants from the vehicle. The injured individuals were subsequently taken to hospital.
Emergency response included two ambulances, the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU), and two fire engines.
