Participation in the sixth edition of Vëlosummer surged by 40%, with over 43,700 people taking part in the cycling initiative during its extended six-week run in 2025.

The sixth edition of the Vëlosummer initiative saw a significant surge in participation, attracting over 43,700 cyclists – a 40% increase compared to the previous year, according to figures released by the Ministry of Mobility on Wednesday.

The 2025 edition was extended to six weeks, a change attributed to railway construction works in the northern part of the country.

The most popular event was the Mamerdall Tour, a 40km route from Mersch to Mamer.
