Between 29 March and 28 April, the police intensified their efforts in monitoring motorcyclists as part of a national road safety campaign. A total of 96 offences were documented during this period.

During these targeted checks, officers focused on ensuring motorcyclists complied with safety regulations, including proper equipment, the overall technical condition of their bikes, and possession of required on-board documents.

Nine fines were issued for speeding, with six resulting in a penalty of €145 and the loss of two driving licence points. Additionally, 11 motorcyclists were found to be without necessary vehicle documents.

30 fines were issued due to non-compliance with technical equipment standards, particularly concerning exhaust systems, tyres, lighting, and number plates. 24 fines were issued for reckless driving behaviours, such as disregarding stop signs, red lights, road markings, overtaking bans, or restricted traffic areas.

Seven motorcyclists were fined for wearing non-compliant helmets, and four fines were issued for not carrying compulsory safety vests. Over the same period, two motorcyclists had their driving licences revoked for speeding violations, and three penalty notices were issued for driving without the required licence.

In presenting these findings, the police reiterated the primary goal of these checks: to mitigate accidents and safeguard all road users. They affirmed their commitment to continuing these efforts throughout the season.
